The Highclere Country Show will be held amongst the beautiful grounds of Highclere Castle, containing a complete range of acts and activities for all ages to enjoy.

The Great Wall Motor World Series Clay Shooting Championship with Armsan and Promatic, gives shooting enthusiasts from around the world the chance to get involved in a truly unique competition, with a fantastic prize of a Great Wall Steed S. There’s also Armsan Sporting Shotguns and cash prizes up for grabs on each qualifying day.

The Clay Shooting Championship sees shooters of all ages and abilities take part with CPSA classes available in AA, A, B, C and Unclassified, as well as the Highest Lady, Junior and Veteran qualifying for the Grand Final on each day. Each year the championship witnesses raw talent from a wide variety of people, with some familiar faces returning and newbies all fancying their chances of winning the prestigious Clay Shooting Championship title and ultimate prize. Each year the bar is raised with impressive scores, but the competition still remains an open book… Who will qualify at the Highclere Country Show?

Great Wall Motor World Series Gundog Championship with Skinner’s Takes Place at Highclere

Highclere ImageThe Highclere Country Show will take place this year on the 24th and 25th May in the stunning grounds of Highclere Castle, welcoming a fantastic, brand new line-up that will appeal to all ages. The show will welcome qualifying rounds of the Great Wall Motor World Series Gundog Championship with Skinner’s Dog Foods, showcasing the finest talents of gundogs and their handlers.

Hundreds of handlers and their furry companions will battle it out for a chance to qualify for the Grand Final that will be held at the Midland Game Fair on the 19th and 20th September. The Highclere Country Show will host the 3rd and 4th qualifying rounds of the Great Wall Motor World Series Gundog Championship with Skinner’s Dog Foods, giving handlers the opportunity to win the ultimate prize of a Great Wall Steed SE, worth a whopping £17,000!

For a chance to win the brand new Great Wall Steed SE, dog handlers and their companions can compete in the Gundog Scurries that challenges the mettle of each dog whether it be their speed or awareness through old favourites such as ‘Pick ‘n’ Mix’ and ‘The Duck Distraction’. Or duo’s can take part in Working Tests, testing dogs through artificially stimulated competitions that replicate shooting day conditions to see how they work in the field.

Kelmarsh Country Show Arrives 2015!

Kelmarsh_2015-1519The Easter Bank Holiday arrived a little earlier this year, welcoming in the Kelmarsh Country Show to Kelmarsh’s glorious grounds. With the Bank Holiday came the forecast lovely spring sunshine which in turn brought families, individuals and sports men and women out in there thousands.

Visitors to this year’s show were treated to a variety of entertainment in the Main Arena, with family favourites the Inch Perfect Trials Display Team bringing their fantastic stunts and tricks into the arena. It also welcomed brand new arena acts including the Lamb National, the City of Coventry Corps of Drums, CJ’s Birds of Prey and Bob Hoggs Sheepdog Display all wowed the thousands of visitors in attendance.

Kelmarsh also played host to brand new feature areas including the very first Kelmarsh Folk Roots Festival, the Kelmarsh Flower Show and the Local Produce Marquee, all of which were very well received from the receptive audience.

Operations Director, Jerome Roberts welcomes in a fantastic response to the first event of the 2015 season. “The weekend’s events have once again exceeded expectations with thousands of people getting into the celebratory atmosphere and having fun. Not only does Kelmarsh have an array of acts and features for the family, it also plays host to many qualifying rounds in some fantastic sporting disciplines. With another four events still left in the Countryman Fairs calendar, we expect a fantastic year to come!”

Kelmarsh has also played host to the first two qualifying rounds in both the Great Wall Motor World Series Clay Shooting Championship and the Great Wall Motor World Series Gundog Championship with Skinner’s Dog Foods, the World Hunter Field Target Championship, which saw more competitors than ever take part, and the Terrier and Lurcher events.

From field sports enthusiasts and families to those simply wishing to sample a slice of the countryside, the Kelmarsh Country Show is only the first of the events taking place this year, with another four more shows lined up.
