Airgun Expo at the Midland Game Fair is proud to host the European Field Target Championships. Attracting competitors from across Europe, the quality of competition is unparalleled. Because of this the European Championships is considered to be the most competitive event in the calendar by the Field Target community. Although hotly contested, competitors are always happy to show off their rifles, and discuss the sport with visitors. It's a great opportunity to see first hand the most sophisticated airguns and equipment in the sport.

The 2009 Championship saw competitors from as far afield as Russia, Poland and Greece competing alongside the strongest field of UK based shooters ever assembled. The European Field Target Championships is a two-day open event, and BFTA rules apply. Competitors combined scores over the 2 days count towards the overall championship. Welshman Mike Williams was a worthy Champion in 2009. His phenomenal score of 96 ex 100 included a first round clearance on the Saturday.
