Mitsubishi Motors Junior Handler Championship
Derived from the Mitsubishi Motors World Series Gundog Championship; this unique competition is for the next generation of gundog scurry and working test handlers.
Young, dynamic and with enthusiasm to match, we have seen some very promising youngsters taking part in our gundog events over the years. At Countryman Fairs we believe it is time to recognise this potential. The NEW Mitsubishi Motors Junior Gundog Championship is a competition that will deliver on every level for our next generation of gundog scurry and working test handlers.
The Mitsubishi Motors Junior Gundog Championship will test the handling skills of gundog scurry and working test handlers under the age of 16. The first qualifying event takes place at the Kelmarsh Country Fair on the 4th and 5th April 2010. Junior handlers can qualify for the Grand Final, which is held in the Working Dog Arena at the Midland Game Fair on Sunday 19th September 2010.
The top junior working test handler and the overall junior gundog scurry victor ludorum from the Kelmarsh, Highclere and Sussex Country Fairs will go through to the Grand Final. The Midland Game Fair will host the last qualifying opportunity on Saturday 18th September with the top Gundog Scurry and top Working Test handler earning their place in the Final.
The Junior Gundog Championship Grand Final will take place alongside the Mitsubishi Motors World Series Gundog Championship in the Working Dog Arena. The 2010 Junior Champion will receive a perpetual trophy, a replica trophy to keep, a Gundog ‘Goody Bag’ worth over £100 and a magnificent day’s shooting tuition and gundog handling skills at the Lains Shooting School, courtesy of Howard Kirby and Mullenscote Gundogs.
Exciting, challenging and extremely addictive the all-NEW Junior Gundog Championship starts on Sunday 4th April at the Kelmarsh Country Fair.
