Compak Sporting is a variation of English Sporting, although in a compact version as the name suggests. The Compak Sporting layout is effectively a shooting arena in which five traps are positioned offering a variety of targets. The Grand Final of the Mitsusbishi Motors World Series Clay Shooting Championship is effectively a Compak Sporting layout, with different rules.

Also known as ‘DTL’, Down the Line is an incredibly popular clay shooting discipline. Clay targets are thrown from an oscillating trap to a distance of between 45 and 50 metres at a fixed height of approximately 2.75m and with a horizontal 'spread' of up to 22 degrees either side of the centre line.
