Cumbria Game and Country Fair

When you hear the name 'Cumbria' you immediately think of lakes and mountains, and of forests and fells. Cumbria is the home of outdoor pursuits and the land of adventure sports. There's no more fitting county to host a celebration of country sports and the Great Outdoors.
A predominantly rural county, Cumbria is home to the Lake District National Park, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful areas of the United Kingdom. Cumbria has provided creative inspiration for generations of artists, writers and musicians. Much of the county is mountainous, with the highest point of the county, and indeed of England, being Scafell Pike.
Cumbria is best known for its lakes, and the Lake District is the largest of the UK's National Parks, and features to 16 of its most spectacular inland waters. The Lake District is also home to over 150 peaks, including four over 3,000 feet, including Scafell Pike at 3,206 feet.
However Cumbria also has an amazing country sports heritage, and has historically been home to some of the UK's most prestigious and iconic countryside events. We are excited to be working with an iconic venue in Cumbria with a proven track record in hosting high quality events, and we look forward to creating a true celebration of Cumbria's country heritage.
We are just putting the finishing touches to the new Cumbria Game and Country Fair, which will be launched with the rest of our 2011 portfolio in September, so be sure to subscribe to our e-newsletter and join us on Facebook to ensure you stay up-to-date with developments.
