Gundog Organiser

Laura has organised the gundog events for Countryman Fairs since 2001, and has been an integral part of their success. After challenging Countryman Fairs President Tony Scutt about the quality of the gundog events in 2000, Laura found herself at the helm! Since then Laura has built a superb team of dedicated volunteers that organise arguably the finest portfolio of working dog activities at any countryside event.

Laura is an enthusiastic participant in a wide range of gundog activities herself, from picking up at shoots across the UK to entering field trials and working tests. Laura is also a well respected gundog trainer, and is always happy to pass on her knowledge to those new to gundogs, so feel free to stop and have a chat.

• When’s your birthday? – 26th January - Star sign Aquarius
• What are your main interests? - Gundogs and all that they do, ie Field Trails, working Tests, scurries and what they were bred for- a good old days shooting!!
• What you enjoy doing outside work? - Being taken to a nice Restaurant. Catching up with friends old and new, whether it be down the local or using Facebook -What would we do without it! Entertaining the most important man in my life-my two year old Grandson George.
• Something you’d really like to do, a lifelong ambition? - Visit the Maldives before they sink!
• Any other interesting facts about yourself? - I'm a qualified sailing Skipper
