The New Mitsubishi ASX for the 2010 World Series Gundog Champion!

THE NEW MITSUBISHI ASX...

Countryman Fairs profile of field sports competitions in 2010 is sure to raise a few eyebrows. By securing another long-term sponsorship deal with Mitsubishi Motors, Countryman Fairs will

once again give the Mitsubishi Motors World Series Clay Shooting Championship a radical overhaul, and further expand the world’s most lucrative gundog competition, the Mitsubishi Motors World Series Gundog Championship.

For as long as gundog scurries and working tests have coexisted, so has the debate on who makes the best handler, a scurry handler or working test handler? 2010 the Mitsubishi Motors Gundog Championship aims to indentify the UK’s best gundog handler across both disciplines. The Mitsubishi Motors Gundog Championship will indentify the country’s leading Working Test handler and Gundog Scurry handler and test their mettle in a Grand Final in the Working Dog Arena on the Sunday of the Midland Game Fair. The Final will see the top handler in each discipline compete head to head in order to be crowned Mitsubishi Motors Gundog Champion 2010 and drive away in a brand new Mitsubishi ASXCompact Crossover worth over £20,000.00. In the 2009 World Series Grand Final, Fred Tompkinson proved scurry handlers were the most adept under pressure. Who will prevail in 2010?

Organisers Countryman Fairs have announced that 4 new qualifying events will be added to the calendar. Now there are more opportunities than ever to qualify for the Grand Final. In addition to the Kelmarsh and Midland Game Fair events, you can now qualify at the Highclere Country Fair on May 30th& 31st and the Sussex Country Fair on June 19th& 20th.

The new format will give all those who enter a real chance of qualifying for the Mitsubishi Motors Gundog Championship Grand Final. At the same time it also allows handlers the chance to win exceptional cash prizes on the day in both the Gundog Scurries and the Working Test. Countryman Fairs Chief Executive Ian Harford is excited about these new developments “Here at Countryman Fairs we take great pride in creating innovative championship events that really push the boundaries of their respective country sports. We are particularly proud of the Mitsubishi Motors World Series Gundog Championship as it is the only competition of its kind, and finally rewards the incredible dedication and skill that is required to compete in gundog competition at the very highest level. This fantastic new Mitsubishi ASX is a very fitting prize, and mirrors the innovative nature of the Championship.”
