The Highclere Country Fair is on its way and brings with it great sporting championship qualifiers as well as fantastic new sponsors in both the Clay Shooting and Gundog Championships.
Back for its 17th year, the 2013 Highclere Country Fair is the second of five countryside events held within Countryman Fairs established sporting calendar and is more affectionately referred to as the ‘Jewel’ of the Southern Counties.
The ATEO Junior Airgun Championship took place at the Kelmarsh Country Fair over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, with the top 3 scores in each class receiving a trophy as well as the competitor coming in first earning a place at this year’s Midland Game Fair’s Grand Final.
The 2013 World Hunter Field Target Championship took place over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend at the Kelmarsh Country Fair, not only seeing more competitors than ever take part, including entries as far a field as Zimbabwe, the Netherlands and Czech Republic, but also confirming Scotland’s Greg Morss as the new 2013 World Hunter Field Target Champion.
The Easter Bank Holiday welcomed in the 27th Kelmarsh Country Fair and with it the long-running Terrier and Lurcher events. A firm favourite at all Countryman Fairs events, this year’s earth and running classes at Kelmarsh have produced some exhilarating displays, with qualifiers confirming their places and going through to the Countryman’s Weekly Champion of Champions in September.
