About The Highclere Game and Country Fair 26th & 27th May 2012
Now in its 16th year, the Highclere Game and Country Fair offers visitors a wide range of top class family entertainment over the weekend of the second May Bank Holiday. Set in the glorious grounds of Highclere Castle, the Fair draws visitors from across the Southern Counties, and much further afield.
The Highclere Game and Country Fair is home to some of the World's most prestigious field sports competitions and attracts competitors from across the globe. The Highclere Country Fair caters particularly well for gundog enthusiasts and hosts a qualifying round for the Mitsubishi Motors World Series Gundog Championships, a working test and a wide range of gundog scurries and have-a-go events.
Highclere is also proud to host the World's most prestigious working test - The Skinners International Retriever World Cup. The Championship has been held at Highclere for the past 6 years and welcomed teams from 16 different countries in 2012. But you don't need to be the world's best gundog handler to enjoy the Highclere Game and Country Fair.
The "Capability Brown" designed landscape provides a visually stunning, yet intimate and relaxing backdrop. All day family entertainment and fabulous retail therapy make the Highclere Game and Country Fair a great day out for the whole family.
