Kelmarsh Game and Country Fair World Hunter Field Target Championship Results
The 25th Kelmarsh Game and Country Fair welcomed their annual World Hunter Field Target Championship (WHFTC) over the weekend, bringing with it some inspiring hunter field target action and a new set of winners for 2011 too.
Attracting some of the finest HFT competitors from across the globe, this year's prestigious event saw England's Pete Dutton walk away victorious as he claimed first place in the Open Class category shooting his Walther rifle. In the .22” placings England's Chris Higgs took first place, with Wales' Andrew Underwood also claiming first position for the Juniors.
In the Ladies Placings, England's Steph Kirkwood scored a total 112 points to take her to first place and in the Recoil Placings, Antony Archer earned the top spot for yet another victorious win for England.
With over 257 entries, the Championship welcomed shooters worldwide, all of who chose a variety of different rifles to shoot with. Whilst the championship proved victorious for England this year, the WHFTC is a competition that remains as competitive as ever, with more shooters getting involved in the sport to see how far they can go.
