Kelmarsh Country Fair

The inaugural Kelmarsh Angling Festival offers anglers of all disciplines the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in angling, with a comprehensive selection of the world’s leading manufacturers complemented by exceptional have a go competitions and expert tuition.

Throughout the day an action packed arena, co-ordinated by expert fly fisherman Hywell Morgan, offers demonstrations in Game and Coarse fishing. Bob Nudd, Jan Porter, Hywell Morgan and Charles Jardine will all be on hand after each demonstration to offer the advice and guidance to budding angling enthusiasts.

In order to truly launch the Kelmarsh Angling Festival onto the international scene Countryman Fairs offer another truly unique competition. The UK Multidiscipline Casting Championship will identify the UK’s best angler over four disciplines, Fly Casting, Distance Casting, Coarse Casting and Spey Casting. This unique competition ensures that competitors with an all round interest in angling are rewarded for their dedication to a variety of disciplines rather than further rewarding those who have already won prizes by achieving excellence in a singular field.

Countryman Fairs will encourage those who have previously concentrated on one form of angling to diversify into three other disciplines and reward their investment in time and equipment by offering a record prize fund including a brand new Mitsubishi Colt CZ1 worth £7,499.00 LP.

Four separate competitions will be run at the Kelmarsh Angling Festival each rewarding competitors with exceptional angling related products. The competitions will comprise of the following:

Fly Casting
Distance Casting
Coarse Casting
Spey Casting

Each competition will be competed over the two days of Kelmarsh Angling Festival and on the final day the two competitors with the highest combination will go forward to compete head to head in a knockout final.

The exact format for the Grand Final will be confirmed shortly before the Kelmarsh Country Fair. The overall winner will be crowned the UK Multi-Discipline Casting Champion in the Kelmarsh Angling Arena winning a brand new Mitsubishi Colt CZ1 worth £7,499.00 LP.
