For
2008, the Mitsubishi Motors World Series has a groundbreaking new prize
package. Previously, the competition provided only the World Series
Champion with the ultimate prize of a brand new car. But in order to
remain the leading clay shooting competition, Countryman Fairs and proud
sponsors Mitsubishi Motors have decided to take the competition to another
level.

Now in its fifth year, the UK's most popular clay shooting championship
enters 2008 with a new record prize fund guaranteeing another astonishing
year of competition. Amongst last year's competitors were many of the
sport's most famous faces, along with the UK's leading lady guns, young
shots and club shooters, all competing on an equal footing. The Mitsubishi
Motors World Series is unique in allowing unknown shooters to take their
first steps onto the international competition stage, often stealing
the limelight from their more experienced opponents.

Here's how it works: At each of the three qualifying events there will be 20 places for the Grand Final to be held at the Midland Game Fair on the 20th and 21st September 2008. The top five shots from each of the following four classes will qualify; Professional, Open, Ladies and Junior. Qualifiers will win a share of the 27,000 Lyalvale Express Shotgun Cartridges on offer and1st place qualifiers will win a Webley and Scott 910S Shotgun. However, that's not all. The names of each of the 20 qualifying shots at each qualifying round will be placed into a hat, and the name drawn will win a brand new Mitsubishi Colt CZ1 worth £7,499.00 LP!
At the Midland Game Fair the finalists will compete in a knockout tournament to decide the winner. The finalists will shoot off until there is one Champion from each class. Once down to the final four, they will shoot off for the overall title of the Mitsubishi Motors World Series Champion 2008. Each class Champion will receive Runnarköp outdoor clothing and the Overall Champion will be dressed in a Runnarköp full shooting suit.
