Back by popular demand, the Gem Ferret Club and their fun-filled ferret races are pleased to announce their return at the Sussex Game and Country Fair over 18th and 19th June.

The Gem Ferret Club team will be on site and at hand to offer comprehensive advice to anyone interested in caring for ferrets, providing support and an all-you-need-to-know point of call about the wonderful world of ferrets. Back with their action-packed program of activity, the team also organise a fantastic fast-paced ferret race that will certainly put your furry friend through its paces. Fun and always full of excitement, ferret racing welcomes all to take part, so make sure you bring your ferret along and cheer him on - just be sure not to blink or you could miss the nail biting finishes that always ensues!

The main incentive that drives the members of the Gem Ferret Club to devote most of their weekends during the summer months exhibiting at Game and Country Fairs is ferret welfare. They are passionate about ferret welfare and want to dispell the common misconceptions about their nature. Every member who comes to ferret shows throughout the summer and to corporate entertainment evenings is a volunteer.

Any money given to the Club as payment for entertaining at shows and events is not payment to any individual, but goes towards keeping the Club up and running (eg. cost of maintaining our trailors, tents, marquees, equipment etc.) and towards helping the ferrets at various rescue centres.
