The 5th and 6th rounds of the Mitsubishi Motors World Series Gundog Championship got underway at the weekend, producing a new set of finalists that will go through and compete at this year's Grand Final at the Midland Game Fair.

Attracting competitors and spectators in their droves, the Gundog Events at Sussex Game and Country Fair saw handlers and their dogs take part in a variety of scurries and tests, going head to head to see who can make the best times and qualify. Gundog organiser Laura Bacon said of the weekend: “Despite the rain on the Saturday people remained undeterred by the weather as we witnessed an outstanding number of entries on both days of the event. With more qualifiers confirmed, the Grand Final at the Midland Game Fair in September promises some fantastic displays and we can't wait to see what happens next.”
